KCC Exhibition l 11 OCT – 14 NOV up on the roof The Korean Cultural Centre Australia presents a window gallery exhibition featuring new works by artist NOT, inspired by traditional Korean roof tiles, Giwa. This exhibition, part of Sydney Craft Week, reimagines these tiles through glass and ceramics, placing them on plinths and connecting them to nature through large windows inspired by the traditional hanok house. Crafted in Sydney and at Canberra, the exhibition blends Australian and Korean influences, exploring themes of home and sanctuary. The exhibition runs until 14th of November. Find out more. Adelaide l 8 – 10 NOV The Korean Wave at Oz Asia Festival An exciting event is coming to Adelaide as part of the Oz Asia Festival! Highlights include dynamic K-pop performances by rising idol groups The KingDom and H1-KEY in “Seoul Vibe in Adelaide”; a literary spotlight at “Weekend of Words” featuring Cursed Bunny author Bora Chung and translator Anton Hur; the “Aussie K-Poppers United Concert” with top Australian K-pop cover dance crews and vocalists; and “K-Wave Connect,” a K-culture panel led by Andy Trieu and Megan Moon from the University of Adelaide. Wollongong l 19 OCT, 12:00 – 17:00 K-Culture in Wollongong KCC is excited to present a special event as part of the Culture Mix in partnership with Wollongong City Council. Visit the Wollongong City Library on the 19th of October and enjoy an afternoon filled with Korean calligraphy, K-POP workshops, and a vibrant Korean display section. Find out more. KCC l 16 OCT – 19 DECK-pop Dance Class Join us at the KCC AU for a free K-Pop dance class! Experience the latest K-Pop dance moves and have fun with like-minded participants. No experience required, just bring your energy and excitement. From 16th of October to 19th of December, there will be classes happening every Wednesday and Thursday. These classes are for all ages so come along and see you on the dance floor! KCC l 29 OCT, 18:00 – 19:30Talk: Korean Street Food with Brendan Discover the flavors of Korean street food with MasterChef Australia‘s Brendan Pang! He’ll share his passion for iconic dishes, how he first encountered them, and what he loves about their unique textures and flavors. Spots are limited, and booking is essential. KCC | 6 NOV – 7 NOV K-beauty Workshop KCC AU is hosting a special K-Beauty workshop for those interested in learning the latest Korean makeup trends. Led by a Korean makeup artist, the workshop will feature a tutorial on the popular ‘False Eyelashes & Glossy Lip’ makeup look, inspired by K-Pop artists.
