켈틱 기독교와 현대교회

‘켈틱 기독교와 현대교회’은 켈틱 기독교와 그 영성을 연구하는 것으로 켈틱 기독교의 유산을 재발견하여 오늘의 신앙공동체를 새롭게 하는데 목적을 두고 있다,. 현대교회가 당면한 과제인 ‘교회가 세상 속에서 그리스도의 현존으로 있으면서 그 지역과 분리됨이 없이 세상을 심기는 그리스도의 교회가 되는가’이다. 켈틱 기독교는 수도원공동체의 모습을 지니고 있으며 이 수도원공동체가 가지고 있던 신앙의 유산은 현대교회를 위하여 새로운 모델을 제시하는 전거가 될 수 있을 것이다.

– 저자소개 : 이상택
이상택 목사(Rev Dr Sang Taek Lee)는 한국에서 감리교신학대학과 연세대학교 연합신학대학원을 졸업했으며 호주로 유학하여 시드니대학(University of Sydney)에서 석사(MA)와 철학박사(PhD)학위를 받았다. 박사과정중에 옥스퍼드 대학(University of Oxford)에서 연구한 바 있고, 미국 샌프란시스코 신학대학에서 목회학 박사를 받았다. 최근 그는 임상목회( Clinical Pastoral Education CPE)을 연구하여 지도교수의 자격을 가지고 있다. 1980년 호주로 이주 최초로 시드니에 설립된 한인교회인 시드니 연합교회에서 20년간 목회를 하였으며 호주연합교단의 목사로써 (Uniting Church in Australia) 호주연합 교회 호주인 목회를 16년 동안 담임목회했다.
호주 찰스 스터트 대학(Charles Sturt University)과 한남대학 박사과정 공동교육 운영 Director/ Adjunct Professor로써 후진들의 양성에 매진하였으며, 한국에서는 교육부 장관상을 받았다. 1995년에는 호주정부로부터 호주 국민훈장(OAM)을 받았다. ‘켈틱 기독교와 현대교회’ 등 영어와 한글로 된 여러 저서를 출간하셨고, 2014년에 호주에서 아이오나 콜럼바 대학(Iona Columba College)을 설립하여 호주에서는 처음으로 호주정부로부터 신학대학 인가를 받은 설립자이다. 현재 아이오나 콜럼바 대학의 학장 및 이사장으로 대학을 섬기고 있다.
– Introduction of Rev. Dr Sang Taek Lee, principal of Iona Columba College
Sang Taek is a Korean ordained by the Korean Methodist Church who emigrated to Australia in 1980 and became a minister of the Uniting Church in Australia.
Sang Taek continued to study at the University of Sydney and received MA and PhD degrees (1992) from the University of Sydney. He also received a Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Seminary School (1988) and researched the life and thoughts of John Wesley at the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford (1983).
He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) from the Australian Government for service to the community (1995) while he was serving in the Korean Community in Australia as the minister of the Korean Strathfield Uniting church. Sang Taek had served the Korean church (1980-1999) and English speaking congregations (2000-2016).
Sang Taek is an adjunct lecturer of the United Theological College of Charles Sturt University and was also an adjunct Professor of Hannam University in Korea as the Australian director of Hannam and Charles Sturt University program, Sydney for the Doctor of Theology in Ministry for the Korean Diaspora. His teaching fields are Ministry and Theology, and Spirituality and Church History. In 2013, he founded Iona Columba College and is now the principal (CEO).
His hobby is to paint as an artist and to write poems. He won the first prize from a prize–winning poem in a Christian magazine in Korea.
