호주, 3월 16일부터 5백명 이상의 비필수적 모임 개최 말라

호주 스콧 모리슨 총리는 3월 14일(토) “코로나 확산 방지를 위해 3월 16일(월)부터 500명 이상의 비 필수적 모임을 개최하지 말 것”을 발표했다.
모리슨 총리는 “호주 연방, 주 및 테리토리는 전문가 의료진의 권고에 따라 코로나19 확산을 방지하기 위해 월요일(3월 16일)부터 호주 전역에 500명 이상의 비 필수적인 공개 모임을 개최하지 말아야 한다는 제한 조치를 취합니다. 학교, 직장, 병원, 대중 교통, 국내 여행 및 대학과 같은 필수 서비스는 물론 쇼핑 센터와 같은 공공 임시 장소에는 영향을 미치지 않습니다”라며 “우리는 또한 현재 모든 호주인들에게 비 필수 해외여행을 재검토 할 것을 권고하고 있습니다.”라며 해외여행에 대한 재고도 권고했다.
이어 “코로나 바이러스에 대한 국가의 국가 대응을 관리하기 위해 적어도 총리 주재로 매주 회의를 갖습니다. 우리는 호주의 최고 의료 및 주 보건 전문가의 조언에 따라 계속 행동 할 것입니다.”라며 일상적인 생활과 사업에 차질이 없도록 하면서도 코로나 국면을 잘 이겨낼 것이라는 입장도 밝혔다.

The Federal, State and Territory Governments are acting on the recommendation of our expert medical officers that from Monday, we should advise against holding non-essential, organised public gatherings of more than 500 people across Australia as we step up our efforts to slow and limit the spread of coronavirus.
Essential services such as schools, workplaces, hospitals, public transportation, domestic travel and universities as well as public transient places such as shopping centres will not be impacted.
We are also now advising all Australians to reconsider any non-essential travel overseas at this time.
A new National Cabinet, made up of myself, Premiers and Chief Ministers, has been established and will meet at least weekly to manage the country’s national response to coronavirus.
We will continue to act on the advice of Australia’s chief medical and state health experts.
We continue to urge all Australians to go about their regular life and business as much as possible. We are in this together and we will get through it.
