Australia COVIDSafe Application Privacy Impact Assessment
This document contains the Privacy Impact Assessment for the COVIDSafe application.
The Department of Health engaged the law firm Maddocks to prepare a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to advise on how we needed to address and mitigate any identified privacy risks for the COVIDSafe app.
The PIA identifies the impacts that COVIDSafe may have on individuals’ privacy. It sets out 19 recommendations for how we should manage, minimise or eliminate these impacts.
Health, as the agency responsible for the app, has prepared a response to the recommendations.
