2018 K-pop Music Video Parody Contest

Our first ever Music Video Parody contest will feature 6 finalists from across Australia who have tried their absolute best to replicate popular Music videos from your favorite KPOP stars!
In addition to screening these for your viewing pleasure, there will also be games for audiences which will give them the chance to take home vouchers to treat themselves to some Korean Fried Chicken! ($50 voucher to Sparrow’s Mill)
Remember to come and fill up the seats for your friends as the audience vote counts toward the final result!
If that wasn’t enough to get you excited for the event, there will be special performances from Winner of this year’s KPOP World Festival Sydney – Triple Threat! also we’ll be hearing the vocal talents of Jeffery Liu, who placed 2nd in the 2017 KPOP Singing contest! All presented by our good friend Andy Trieu from SBS PopAsia!

– EVENT DETAIL
•The event will feature performances from K-pop cover dance crews(Vocal / Dance)
•Finalists will have their Music Video Parody screened at the Korean Cultural Centre Australia where our judges and the Audience contribute to the final results
•Event will end with an award ceremony
– ONLINE PRELIMINARY ROUND: 24th June 2018
– HOW TO ENTER?
•Gather your crew
•Choose a Kpop M/V to Parody(Please check the example via; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHJL1DeFv5k&authuser=0)
•Film it! Upload it! Send it to us!
•The original M/V clip must be playing on the BOTTOM-RIGHT CORNER(very important) with your parody video playing in same time as a reference.
– JUDGING CRITERIA:
•Similarity 40%
•Creativity 30%
•Use of Budget 20%
•Audience vote 10%
– PRIZE
•Winner Prize – $2,000 contribution in flight ticket credit to South Korea (No matter how many of you fly to Korea, we are going to reimburse $2,000 redeemable after showing proof of purchase of flight ticket/s)
•Runner-up Prize – $500 in cash.
•Audience Awards – $200 worth voucher to Korean Fried Chicken Restaurant.
