시드니신학대학 (Sydney College of Divinity, 이하 SCD) 한국신학부 (Korean School of Theology, 이하 KST)는 최근 대학의 리더십 변화를 보도자료로 전하며 김호남 박사는 학장직에서 은퇴했으며 신임 Prof. Stephen Smith총장이 한국신학부를 이끌 것이라고 밝혔다.

아울러 “김호남 박사는 학장직은 은퇴하지만 시드니신학대학 한국신학부(KST)와의 우정을 계속 이어갈 것 이며, 김호남 박사의 전공 분야에서 후학 양성을 위해 기회가 될때마다 교수로 강의해 주실 것”이라고 밝혔다.

또한 “시드니신학대학 (SCD)의 비전은 한인교회 공동체가 각자의 고유한 사역과 선교 목표를 추구할 수 있도록 지원하는 것입니다. 여기에는 온라인 학습 과정에 대한 투자, 캠퍼스 시설들의 품질 있는 재편성을 위한 투자, 새롭고 유용한 학위 과정의 추가 개발, 그리고 교수진이 한인교회 공동체와 연결하여 지원할 수 있도록 더 많은 기회를 제공하는 것도 포함될 것입니다.”라고 했다.

10년 이상 시드니신학대학 (Sydney College of Divinity, SCD) 한국신학부 (KST)를 이끌어 왔던 김호남 박사는 학장직에서 은퇴하게 됩니다.

김호남 박사는 학장으로서 현재 시드니, 브리스번, 그리고 멜번 캠퍼스를 운영하고 있는 시드니 신학대학 한국신학부(KST)의 성장을 이끌어 왔던 뛰어난 학자이며 헌신하신 분입니다.

김호남 박사는 학장직은 은퇴하지만 시드니신학대학 한국신학부(KST)와의 우정을 계속 이어갈 것 이며, 김호남 박사의 전공 분야에서 후학 양성을 위해 기회가 될때마다 교수로 강의해 주실 것입니다.

Leadership Transition — Korean School of Theology

After more than a decade leading the Korean School of Theology (KST) Dr Honam Kim is retiring from his role as Dean. Honam is a distinguished academic and dedicated servant who has overseen the growth of the school, now with campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. While Dr Kim will be finishing as the Dean he will continue his friendship with KST, teaching as a sessional lecturer, as needed in his specialist areas. During this time of leadership transition, the Korean School of Theology will be led by Professor Stephen Smith, Dean of the Sydney College of Divinity (SCD). For more than a decade SCD has been a significant partner with the Korean community of churches in the development of the Korean School of Theology. SCD’s commitment to this great ministry is unfaltering with a strong desire to build on the great work of the wonderful faculty team and staff, to see the KST grow from strength to strength. It remains SCD’s desire to support the community of Korean churches to pursue their own unique ministry and mission goals. This will involve further investment in online learning, reshaping the quality of campus facilities, the further development of new and useful degrees, and providing the faculty greater opportunities to connect with, and assist, their church community. Over the next six months KST will be working to build closer connections with the church community. The amazing KST faculty will be developing their strategy to ensure the school grows in its excellence and relevance to support more closely to the mission and ministry goals of churches in the Korean community.
