The Fanfare of Senior Lunar New Year’s Day
A few days ago, there was a heat wave that exceeded 42 degrees Celsius, but today it is as miserable as the weather like early autumn.
God seems to give them a blessing weather to be exhausted in that hot day on senior lunar New Year’s festival of Sydney Full Gospel Church.
Thanks to this, the sun hides gently in the clouds and the drizzling rain thickens the trees of the Waterloo road and the weather goes to the cool to wet the roofs of the Sydney Full Gospel Church.
Entering in car park of the church, the CM song medley comes out without a break.
The elders who are seating in sanctuary early spread their wings of prayer with their closed eyes softly.
There was a lot of noise outside, and then the elders who get off the church bus with difficulty came in towards the great hall of the sanctuary.
Even in difficult economic conditions of the current Korean society in Sydney, they are just grateful for the service of the saints of the church without forgetting that day every year.
This year is already the third festival, how great it was!
Looking inside of the sanctuary with a moment’s silence, there was marked by a church motto just ahead of the Cross.
“Blessed church, you are to be blessed.”
It reminds of the “The Secret of Happiness” by evangelist Rev. Billy Graham.
For those who pray and strive hard for the eight beatitudes, happiness comes by itself and be blessed to those for the poor in spirit, who mourn, the meek, who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure of heart, the peacemakers, who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness.
Since being dissolved in continuous CM melody, they don’t even know the schedule time is going to be late, they thought it would be too late because a church give more time to talk to their neighbours in a long while.
Yet it filled with a hymn in the great sanctuary, the pastor continues his sermon
that the trumpet blow in Christian New Year and only those who had the belief of “Yahweh-jireh” would be prepared by God.
Not only praising of Jesus love Arirang with the trot melody, but as the five-member choir in accord with the Korean traditional Changgu, also letting the whole sanctuary hall fell into a deep impression.
The faithfulness of all the saints to get close to God is a picture of the church that is now blessed.
After meeting God, everyone can’t hold back their tears of joy at the pastor’s sincere benediction, who cried out with his arms.
After that an old lady who came in with a walking stick walked away on upright appearance as if it was like a lie.
Believe it or not, it was a strange thing.
Whether they were so hungry or not, they rushed to the cafeteria expecting a lavish gifts and lunch.
The long line runs in front of the cafeteria, in which seemed to be so wide normally, but it looked unusually small today.
The cafeteria was full of elders and family, it looked like “human sea” in a word.
The rich dining table had a wide variety of delicious dishes such as ribs, which were melted gently in the mouth, noodle Japchae of black mushroom incense, fragrant ferns, stuffed cucumber Kimchi with green leeks, freshly pickled cabbage Kimchi, coloured Songpyeon, Chojung rice snack and fruit salad with desert.
They were worried that they might have a stomach-ache in the food of the day.
“Grandma, Grandpa, live long!”
A pair of young couples sees them off with a present.
An old grandma spits out.
“We don’t want to live long in Australia.
The best country to live in the world is heaven, isn’t it?
Heaven is so much better than Australia.
Everybody says once they go, they never want come back…
