8월 12일, 국제 청소년의 날 (International Youth Day)
세계 청소년의 날(International Youth Day)은 UN이 문화·법적 문제에 청소년의 주의를 환기시키기 위하여 제정한 날이며, 일자는 8월 12일이다. 이는 1999년에 120개국 중 54국의 찬성으로 채택되었다.
이 날은 정부와 일반인에게 전 세계에 청소년 문제에 대해 표현할 수 있는 기회를 준다. 콘서트, 공동 연구, 문화 행사 같은 것들이 열리고, 또 국가 및 지역 관계자들과 청소년 단체가 이 날에 만나게 된다.
